Overview:
SOSi is currently seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team in Fort Meade, MD.
Responsibilities:
- Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks.
- Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions.
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
- Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
- Isolate and resolve hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof.
- Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems.
- Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with IT systems, applications and software integration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of overall related experience within a Windows server environment. Additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- The ability to obtain and retain an active SECRET security clearance is required for this position.
- DoD 8750 certification of DoD 8570 IAT level II, (Security+ ce) or higher.
- Experience with configuration, troubleshooting and maintaining MS Windows and VMware environments.
- Experience with Remote Desktop Services.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and experience in other languages like Python.
- Experience with application of security settings and DoD system hardening tools such as DISA STIGS, SCAPS and ACAS Vulnerability scanning.
- Experience with Group Policy Management (GPO) and applying Local Security Policies
- Experience with Windows Task Scheduler
- Experience Managing Active Directory
- Experience with System (hardware) and application (software) installation and configuration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Integration of Network Management (NM) and Element Management (EM) systems with network performance, trouble ticketing, and security subsystems highly desired.
- Experience with support systems to include enclave Ethernet switches, storage area networks (SAN), and network attached storage (NAS).
- Candidates with a thorough knowledge of networking principles to include TCP/IP a plus.
- Experience with a ticketing system such as Remedy.
- Linux OS experience.
- Experience working in virtual environments.
Working Conditions:
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
- Full time (5 days a week) on-site at Fort Meade, MD.
- Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- The role may involve occasional travel to different office locations or client sites.
- The position requires the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support system upgrades or resolve critical issues.
