Job Title: School Psychologist

Location: Southfield, MI and Surrounding Areas

Position: Full-Time

Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year, plus mileage reimbursement

About Us:

We are working on behalf of a distinguished charter school network dedicated to providing an exceptional educational experience to students. Our client is seeking a skilled and compassionate School Psychologist to join their team and contribute to the well-being and academic success of students across Southfield, MI, and its surrounding areas.

Position Overview:

As a School Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the mental health and educational development of students within our charter school network. You will work directly with students, parents, and school staff to identify and address psychological, emotional, and behavioral issues, and provide interventions that promote a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and develop individualized plans.
• Provide counseling and therapy to students dealing with various emotional and behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to implement effective interventions and support strategies.
• Develop and deliver programs aimed at promoting mental health and emotional well-being in the school environment.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and adjust intervention plans as needed.
• Offer crisis intervention and support when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments, interventions, and progress.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
• Valid School Psychologist certification or license in the state of Michigan.
• Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and school staff.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between schools.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $90,000 per year.
• Mileage reimbursement for travel between schools.
