Pathologist Assistant (Contract Role) Job Details:
Location: Saranac Lake, NY, 12983
Duration: 13-weeks Contract
Shift: 10hr Day
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Weekly Pay Rate: $2,400 - $2,640
Key Responsibilities:
Gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens under supervision of a pathologist
Preparation, dissection, and documentation of autopsy cases
Assist in intraoperative consultations (frozen sections)
Ensure accurate specimen labeling, documentation, and quality control
Collaborate with pathology, histology, and cytology teams to ensure efficient workflow
Maintain laboratory equipment and cleanliness in accordance with safety standards
Prepare photographic documentation of specimens as required
Ensure compliance with NYS DOH and CAP regulations
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited Pathologist Assistant program.
NYS Licensure as a Pathologist Assistant.
Valid NYS license as HT/HTL or MLT/MT.
Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Pathologist Assistant.

Cytology
General Pathology
Autopsy Pathology
