We are a fast-growing food production company based in Bridgeview, IL, known for delivering high-quality products to major retailers and foodservice providers. As we expand our operations, we’re seeking a motivated Part-Time Junior Accountant to support daily accounting functions and ensure accurate financial reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and team-oriented environment within the manufacturing sector.

The Part-Time Junior Accountant will support the accounting team with day-to-day financial tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and assisting with month-end processes. This role is ideal for a recent graduate, accounting student, or someone looking to return to the workforce with a flexible schedule.

Part-Time Junior Accountant Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with entering and coding invoices into the accounting system
• Help reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Support accounts receivable by posting payments and following up on outstanding balances
• Prepare and maintain financial reports and documentation
• Assist with inventory and cost accounting support as needed
• Support the month-end close process through journal entries and reporting assistance
• Maintain organized and accurate records for audit readiness
• Perform other administrative and finance-related tasks as assigned

Part-Time Junior Accountant Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or currently pursuing)
• 1+ year of accounting experience preferred (internship experience also considered)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar a plus)
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Clear communication skills and willingness to learn

Schedule & Compensation:

• Part-time: 20–25 hours per week
• Flexible scheduling available during standard business hours
