Cardiac Stepdown Nurse Manager - Leadership Opportunity in Critical Care

Position Overview

As Nurse Manager, you'll provide 24/7 leadership for our Cardiac Stepdown Unit, creating an environment that delivers exceptional patient care while advancing our facility's mission of clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of healthcare professionals in delivering evidence-based cardiac care
• Implement and maintain patient safety initiatives aligned with TJC standards
• Drive quality metrics through continuous performance improvement
• Manage unit operations, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Foster a culture of excellence in patient care and staff development
• Ensure compliance with Magnet standards and regulatory requirements
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives for unit advancement

Required Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license or compact license
• BSN required; MSN preferred
• Minimum 2 years recent Critical Care leadership experience
• BLS/ACLS certification
• National Specialty Certification (or obtainable within 1 year)
• Previous experience in Magnet or Pathways facilities highly desired
