We want your knowledge and expertise! **Job Summary and Qualifications** Working as a Medical Assistant for HCA HealthONE hospital will allow you to collaborate daily with an elite team of healthcare professionals. What you will do in this role: + You will be responsible for assessing the needs of patients and must be able to distinguish between an emergency and non-emergency situation and prioritize accordingly. + You will document all activities in the medical record neatly and appropriately. + You will maintain medical equipment and supplies for the clinic, and a professional and workable relationship with providers. + You will screen and contact potential new patients for collecting and documenting information in the office database. + You will manage the front desk serving as a receptionist welcoming patients and family members in a professional manner, registering patients, verifying insurance, answering phones, scheduling diagnostic studies and other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or Nurse Practitioner. What qualifications you will need for this role: + MA Certified, LPN, EMT or sufficient previous MA work experience. + AHA or ARC BLS is required. + Previous ambulatory services/clinic experience desirable. + Knowledge of sterile technique, patient teaching methods for all ages.
