The primary purpose of this position is to perform duties as the General Counsel for the agency. As such, the incumbent performs a variety of duties in pursuit of the mission ensuring compliance with all applicable legal requirements. Work is normally assigned by the Board, the Board members, and, in consultation with the Board. Serves as the key legal advisor to the Board on agency operations, ethics, and compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. Develops internal policies to govern agency operations. Counsels Board members, senior management, and staff. Advises on legally appropriate methods and techniques to achieve agency goals and objectives.
