The successful candidate will have experience in electrical construction and experience as an Electrical Estimator. The position requires strong computer and leadership skills. Organizational skills along with good written and verbal skills are essential. The Senior Estimator accurately estimates the cost, time, materials, labor, and equipment required for a construction project. They perform cost analyses, determine the duration of a project, procure vendors and subcontractors, and ensure that resources are managed, and deadlines are met for electrical projects. You must have prior experience as an Electrical Estimator to be considered for this position.
Electrical Estimator Essential Skills:
Assigns responsibilities for estimating team on each project
Calculates the cost of electrical constructions based on reviewing and evaluating available documents
Analyzes projects for value engineering options while considering specific job conditions that may affect labor and material to be purchased and installed
Reviews and evaluates project plans and specifications, bid documents, and other relevant project documents to identify what is needed for a project and to create a bid proposal
Identifies any inconsistent issues, conflicts, and other problems in the bid documents
Solicits subcontractor and/or supplier information and pricing
Prepares instructions to bidders, bid form, and other bid solicitation information as required
Electrical Estimator Requirements:
5+ years of electrical estimating experience
Advanced skills in MS Office
Experience with Industry Estimating software
Must be accurate, possess attention to detail and be proactive in pointing out potential issues
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and relationship building skills
Problem solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to prioritize and manage time for yourself and others
Leading and developing your team
