DataCenter Technician

Responsibilities:

  • In-depth technical knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge on Intune and SCCM

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions.
  • Assist with IT projects and upgrades.
  • Document and maintain IT inventory.
  • Train end-users on basic IT procedures.
  • Ensure security protocols are followed.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members.
  • Provide on-call support as needed
  • Experience in supporting Apple and Android devices
  • Experience in attending VIP customers
  • Data center activities: Assist & Perform following activities

  • Equipment Installation: This involves the physical installation of servers, network devices, and storage units. unbox, position, connect power and network cables, and secure the equipment in racks.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Routine tasks include checking and replacing faulty components, and ensuring all physical connections are secure. may also update firmware and perform diagnostic tests.
  • Cable Management: Effective cable management is crucial for maintaining an organized data center. This includes labelling, routing, and securing cables to prevent tangling and ensure easy access for future maintenance
  • Component Replacement and Repairs: When hardware components fail, they need to be replaced or repaired. Technicians handle these tasks quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Physical Server Reboots: Sometimes remote reboot commands fail, or servers become unresponsive to remote management tools. In these cases, technicians perform physical reboots by manually pressing power buttons or using integrated management controllers.
