CDL Road Test Driver Responsibilities

• Must be able to perform pre and post trip inspections
• Be sure you understand specifically the work that was performed on each repair order and complete the road test and inspection in accordance with the write-up stated on the repair order.
• Always check for additional repairs that should be performed while the truck is in the shop and advise your supervisor if you find anything additional
• Make sure that we are leaving the customers vehicle clean
• Use of proper safety procedures and devices is necessary

CDL Road Test Requirements

• Good driving record.
• Class A requires CDL
• Must be able to use a computer or tablet to write notes, and follow written instructions
• Mechanical background preferred
• Good understanding of the operation of the vehicles we are road testing.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Good overall physical condition.
• Good reading and writing skills. Basic math skills. (High school graduate or GED equivalent)·
• Valid driver’s license.
• Dependable, honest, and trustworthy.
• Must be a team player and exhibit good positive attitude
